Michel van der Aa Violin Concerto

I recently returned from Buenos Aires where I gave the very first performance in Mexico of the Michel van der Aa Violin Concerto.

It was a real joy playing Michel van der Aa’s terrific violin concerto in Mexico last week with the excellent Symphony Orchestra with my friend Roberto Beltrán-Zavala, conductor, who shares my love for this fantastic, colorful, virtuosic piece. Here’s a bit of the end of the first movement, for who’s interested in this music, from the rehearsal. The piece also has many beautiful, dreamy and ‘impressionistic’ sections, very exciting to play and I recommend to all violinists! ✨✨
