Osvaldo Golijov’s Ever Yours

In January ’25 we had the joy to spend a week in Amsterdam with great Osvaldo Golijov, recording his masterful, incredible new Nonet ‘Ever Yours’, inspired by Haydn, a loving tribute to his dear fried Geoff Nutall and with wings spreading to the stars and to raucous Balkan folk music. Our Arethusa Quartet was joined by our friends in the Animato Quartet and bassist Nicky Schwarz. Violist Barry Schiffman joined us for Osvaldo’s moving Tintype. The friendship with Osvaldo that started in Kuhmo and deepened at Stift, led to this very personal recording that I feel privileged to have been a part of!
