Wonderful Festival summer

What a wonderful summer full of inspiring, fun, eye-opening and extraordinarily colourful festivals this was!

A huge thank you to all the inspirational people who made all these different pockets of creativity and inspiration happen. In the next few weeks, I’ll try to post here in more detail about the various festivals, but for now, a big thank you to Nina Schumann at fantastic SICMF in Stellenbosch, to Minna and Antti at the great, unique Kuhmo Festival, to Claude at the beautiful Kammermusikfest Sylt, to Marianna at the cherished Øremandsgård Festival, then to Juliana at the beloved Musique en Charolais & Brionnais, and onwards to old friend Andrea Rucli at the Cividale concerts and masterclasses. How many memories we have gathered there over the years!

After that, it was a short hop to the Ljubljana Festival for an exciting performance of María de Buenos Aires, and then straight into my own Stift Festival, which was a whirlwind of concerts and which felt like a whole world unto itself. More about this very soon!

Now, after a short but lovely holiday in Venice, the season has well and truly kicked off again. I’m looking forward to concerts over the next few weeks in Denmark, in The Hague, and then in Santiago de Chile.
