Recording Osvaldo Golijov in Amsterdam

We are all still flying high after an incredibly inspiring, intense, energizing and unforgettable week with wonderful Osvaldo Golijov in Amsterdam. Together with my dearest Arethusa Quartet, (Floor, Dana & Maja) the brilliant Animato Kwartet, on fire Barry Shiffman, and bass wizzard Nicky Schwartz we dived into the endlessly rich, colorful, scintillating, boisterous, tender and magical worlds that Osvaldo created in his moving ‘Tintype’ and thrillingly uplifting ‘Ever yours’. Ever yours is a very personal hommage to Osvaldo’s great friend Geoff Nuttall, and his irrepressible spirit seemed to be in the room with us. Being a part of these premiere recordings was a true highlight that I will cherish. Very big THANK YOU to Steve Prutsman who made this all possible and brilliantly and meticulously guided us through the sessions via video link from San Francisco. A huge shout out to fantastic Joeri and Peter at the Studio 150 Bethlehemkerk: the dream recording venue and team!!!
